Toolbar

Toolbar is a floating window that contains all tools of this application. These tools can be applied to an image in the Window of original image.

Hand - allows to move (scroll) the displayed area of the image in the window, if it doesn’t fit the size of it.

Rectangular marquee [M] - allows to make rectangular selection. Drag the cursor with a pushed left mouse button to select an area.

If you have already selected an area of the image, then using this tool again you will deselect the old one. If you need to add new selection to the old one push the Shift key on the pad before using this tool, and make necessary selections. To subtract a new selection from the old one it is necessary to push the ALT key before using this tool. Holding down Shift and ALT keys together leads to selection of intersected areas of old and new selections.


Elliptical marquee [O]- allows to select elliptic area. Usage is identical to rectangular marquee.

Lasso [L] - allows to make freehand selections. The separation is carried out by dragging the cursor with a pushed left mouse button.

Magnetic lasso – allows you to make a selection basing on color difference. During selection reference points are set automatically. Also you can set reference points by clicking the left button. You can also remove the last reference point by clicking the right button.

Magic wand [W] – allows to select similarly colored area just by clicking on image.

To subtract a new selection from the old one it is necessary to push the ALT key before using this tool. Crop - allows to trim a rectangular area of the image which is selected by any of above mentioned tools of separation.

Change image size – allows to change the picture size. After pressing the button the window will be opened. It is necessary to set new values of height and width there.

Flip canvas horizontal – allows to reflect image concerning a vertical line.

Flip canvas vertical – allows to reflect image concerning a horizontal line.

Rotate canvas 90 CW – rotates an image 90 degrees clockwise.

Rotate canvas 90 CCW - rotates an image 90 degrees counter-clockwise.

Zoom in - allows to magnify an image. The current value of the scale (in percentage) is shown in the title bar of the Window of original image.

Zoom out - allows to reduce an image. The current value of the scale (in percentage) is shown in the title bar of the Window of original image.

Real size– allows to scale up images to their real size (100 %).

Zoom to fit – allows to fit image to the size of Window of original image.
